LEADERSHIP
Jordan W. Katz, Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding Angeles Equity Partners in 2014, Mr. Katz co-led the Industrials vertical of The Gores Group with Mr. Meyer. During his 11+ year tenure at The Gores Group, Mr. Katz served as a member of the board of directors for numerous portfolio companies (or their successors/ acquirers), including United Road Services, Sage Automotive Interiors, Cosmo Specialty Fibers, Proxicom, Hyperspace Communications and WStore Europe. Prior to joining Gores in 2002, Mr. Katz was a member of UBS Warburg’s Los Angeles office where he focused on providing coverage to private equity firms and originating new transaction ideas. In 2000, Mr. Katz was a founding member of eVolution Global Partners, a venture capital firm established by Texas Pacific Group, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Bain & Company. Mr. Katz began his career in 1996 at Colony Capital, an international private equity firm focused on real estate-related investments. Mr. Katz received a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Timothy P. Meyer, Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding Angeles Equity Partners in 2014, Mr. Meyer co-led the Industrials vertical of The Gores Group with Mr. Katz. Mr. Meyer was responsible for leading due diligence efforts, driving operational transformation and providing portfolio company oversight. During his tenure at The Gores Group, Mr. Meyer served as a Chief Executive Officer for two of The Gores Group’s portfolio companies, and was a member of both the Management Committee and Investment Committee. Prior to The Gores Group, Mr. Meyer spent two years at Gateway from 2003 – 2005, where he was responsible for the revenue and margin performance of Services, Software, and Enterprise Products in the Professional Business Unit. Mr. Meyer joined Gateway after five years at Bain & Company, where he led many strategy, M&A and operational improvement engagements for corporate and private equity clients. From 1993 – 1995, Mr. Meyer served in various sales leadership and transformation positions at AT&T. Mr. Meyer began his career with International Business Machines. Mr. Meyer received a B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
